The TG Group successfully participated in the Euroguss 2010 fair in Nierenberg. The Group was noticeable in its ability to offer production from 3 different alloys using HPDC technology on its 4 different production sites in Israel and Turkey.

Ortal was nominated by the Draexlmeier Company to be a "Preferred Supplier" for 2009.
Ortal was awarded the promotion following a few years of intense cooperation on all levels, which created the understanding that Ortal is the right partner for HPDC projects from their onset and into serial production.

IMA’s 2009 Awards of Excellence Competition at the Annual Conference in San Francisco:Ortal was awarded the International Magnesium Association's 1st Place in the Design-Cast Product-Automotive category, for its entry: a development of an "Integrated Cast Teeth Rack".Mr. Amon Wertheim, Tadir-Gan Group's CEO, presented the winning entry.This is the second consecutive year in which Ortal is awarded an award of Excellence in the IMA's Excellence Competition. In 2008, the winning entry was a Rudder Pedal Assembly

 

December 2008 Our new site in Turkey "TG Europe" has been approved by GM for serial production. A GM representative conducted an audit for a new production line due to start serial production in a short while. The audit was successful and the serial production was approved.


August 2008
1400 Ton Diecasting Machine:
The recently acquired 1400 ton cold chamber diecasting machine is already operative and has started serial production.

Sandblasting:
The Roessler sandblasting machine's schedule is now 100% full.

 

18.05.08 - Award of Excellence
Ortal was awarded the 1st place in the IMA Award of Excellence Competition which took place in Warsaw this month. Ortal was given the prize for the development and replacement of an AL 7075 aluminium alloy rudder pedal assembly produced by machining, with an AZ91D magnesium alloy die-cast assembly in a passenger jet aircraft. The 3 parts of the magnesium assembly underwent strict mechanical, corrosion and quality tests, required by the aviation standards and passed these tests successfully.
The new assembly shows improved technical performance, reduces costs and a 35% weight reduction.
This success will lead to many innovative solutions such as the implementation of this experience into the Automotive industry.

 

11-13.3.08 - Euroguss 2008 - Nuerenberg, Germany
The TG Group has come back from a very successful and intense exhibition at the Nuerenberg Euroguss fair 2008. The stand was continuously packed with visitors, who were given information about our newly opened production site in Turkey, the TG Group companies, the new equipment and enhanced capabilities of our sites.

We thank all those who came to meet us and hope for a fruitful cooperation in the near future.

 

03.03.08 - An FMEA meeting was held in Draexlmeir, focused on the new Center-Console and Reinforcement Cover. Both products will be manufactured in Ortal for the new PORSCHE PANAMERA.

 

15.02.08 - The Tadir-Gan Group Establishes European Subsidiary
The Tadir-Gan Group is proud to announce the establishment of "Tadir-Gan Europe", its new subsidiary in Turkey. TG Europe will operate from Istanbul, serving both local and international markets as activities coordinator in the field of HPDC.
This activity expansion on an international level is to further facilitate the supply of production and marketing solutions for The Tadir-Gan Group's customers worldwide. Just as importantly, the new site is a much-needed addition to the bustling Turkish market, where the automotive business is growing and thriving. It also provides a necessary additional presence in the European marketplace.



18-24.12.07 - Ortal is committed to High Quality:
December 2007 witnessed a week dedicated to Quality, involving the entire staff of Ortal, from management to production.
The program included a variety of lectures focused on professional quality issues and quality procedures. The objective of reinforcing Quality as a major goal at all production levels was achieved!

 

05.07.07 - Ortal was audited by Audi AG. The audition was successful and Ortal was approved to start serial production for a new project.

 

12-16.06.07 - Newcast exhibition in Duesseldorf
First steps of the Tadir-Gan Group
Tadir-Gan and Ortal made their first joint show in Newcast 2007. The wide range of die-casting in 3 non-ferrous metals (Al, Mg, and Zinc) proved to be very attractive to numerous new potential customers interested in the field. The stream of visitors at the TG Group stand in Newcast has opened up new links to intensify and widen the 2 companies' production in the automotive market. TG Group is looking forward into further deepening its promising collaboration.

 

15.05.07 - According to market demands Ortal is increasing its Magnesium capacity with a new Cold Chamber 840T Buehler casting machine and additional new CMM. The machine is already operational.

 

01.04.07 - Ortal is upgrading its precision measurement equipment with the acquisition of a new "XYZ" machine (DEA, Global, Italian make).



On December the 28th 2006, Tadir-Gan accomplished the acquisition of Ortal, forming one High Pressure Die Casting group, able to support and supply three HPDC processes: Magnesium, Aluminum and Zinc.
The new group will have a higher total turnover, increased abilities and knowledge as well as a wider range of products.
We aim to increase our co-operation and activities with all our customers along these lines.

18.10.06 - ZF Lenksysteme: A Quality team visited Ortal, focusing on the running substantial changes required on the Audi B8 project, aiming to ensure the agreed lead time with Audi management. The visit concluded with the estimate that the objective can be accomplished on schedule.



17.10.2006 - GM Powertrain's Magnesium Technology Day –
Pontiac Mi.:
A conference organized by GM, well focused and highly informative. Through their attendance, over 100 GM engineers also observed Ortal's wide range of Magnesium applications: from air bag housings and steering columns through to the latest MRI alloy cast oil-pan. This opportunity provided Ortal with many new contacts.


11-13.10.06, IZB 2006 exhibition in Germany:
While participating in this exhibition, Ortal presented a new and interesting development using MRI 230 alloy: a Magnesium-cast Oil Pan. The MRI specifications are well suited for castings designated for powertrain applications.



5.07.06 - Ortal was audited by Johnson Control Electronic Division
. The audition was successful and Ortal was approved to start partnership and supply cast products to JC worldwide following SSOW and APQP review.

 

30.05.06 - Ortal hosted a conference of the Israeli "Magnesium Technology User Association". 45 representatives from 20 companies took part in the conference that focused on current and future uses of Magnesium in the automotive industry.









03.04.06 - ZF LFT, a potential customer, visited Ortal in order to examine the possibility of design & development of products, using Magnesium alloys.
















ZF Lenksysteme, Germany
Audit, 3rd – 4th of April 2006ZF Lenksysteme's representatives, Mr. Rüdebusch and Mr. Bauervisited Ortal to audit the BMW PL4 Magnesium Jacket Tube's production process. The audit was successful, paving the way for mass production in 2007.

 

 

 






Valeo Nevers Audit, 22nd – 23th of March 2006
Ortal was successfully audited by Valeo Nevers and approved to be the supplier of the steering lock housing for the new Opel Zephira and Opel Astra.





Euroguss 2006 Exhibition, March 7-9, 2006
During its participation in the Euroguss 2006 exhibition, while focusing on Magnesium HPDC, Ortal publicised its intention to begin using larger Magnesium diecasting machines.
Euroguss 2006 proved to be a very successful exhibition for Ortal.



Valeo Nevers' visit, 23rd-25th of January 2006
Valeo Nevers (France) decided to increase the volume of production by Ortal. A decision followed by a successful visit to our plant, which focused on finalizing the technical & quality conditions for production.


Valeo Erdweg Audit, 18th – 20th of October 2005
Valeo Erdweg (Germany) performed an Audit for a new product. The Audit was successful and Ortal's manufacturing process was confirmed.




Zf Lenksysteme Nacam France visit
07- 09 November, 2005: Purchasing and Quality Managers from Nacam France, accompanied by our representative in France came to Ortal to discuss a variety of topics. The visit reinforced Ortal's dual role as a sole Magnesium supplier to Nacam France, and a strategic partner for new projects.




SNECI "Innovation day"
Ortal participated in SNECI's Innovation day, presenting its capabilities and introducing the advantages of Magnesium HPDC. The conference was very well organized and supported by the highly competent and professional SNECI team.


Ortal's Representatives Seminar, 11-15th of September 2005
Ortal hosted a seminar for all of its international representatives. They were updated about Ortal's improved technological capabilities as well as its future strategic plans. Ortal's team of reps left our plant better equipped and motivated to support our customers worldwide.


May 22 - 24, 2005: IMA Conference, Berlin, (Germany)

Ortal attended the annual IMA program that was open to all companies demonstrating outstanding examples of magnesium's use.  Nominations are judged by a peer review panel of international experts.

  


June 2005: Quality event - Problem Solving Techniques for Ortal
In the framework of a challenging workshop, about 20 of Ortal's management team were instructed by the Advanced Logistic Development specialist, Mr. Rafi Gomel, focusing on the theoretical and practical uses of Problem Solving Techniques.
Some uses of the new techniques have already been adopted by the Ortal team!


Corrosion Conference, Ben-Gurion University, Israel
Ortal was well represented in this conference that touched on a wide range of topics, including:
Coating and corrosion prevention of light-metals in general, current research in corrosion prevention of Magnesium, potential vs. restrictions characterizing the various systems of Magnesium manufacturing.
Ortal also exhibited some Magnesium parts highlighting its capabilities in this area.

Week 18 2005: Valeo-Bietigheim (Germany)
A QA team from Valeo Bietigheim visited Ortal in order to perform a Process Audit for their products. The audit was very successful and Ortal received approval for the production of these parts.

Week 16 2005: UK Representative Visit
Mr. Ian Duncan's intense introductory visit to Ortal proved fruitful for both sides.


Week 16 2005: Autoliv Sweden
In an efficient visit, Autoliv's representatives met with Ortal and summarized the 2 new POs for the ABD project.


Week 12 2005: A 3 day visit from the purchasing team of Nacam-France, accompanied by Ortal's representatives in France (SNECI).

Week 12 2005: Ortal suceeded to deliver and approve 11 parts for Rittal's "Comfort Panel" within six weeks:
"Firstly we want to thank you very much for the cooperation. Ortal have achieved the impossible. At the beginning of the "Comfort panel" project in January, nobody have thought of reaching the present delivery date"…  (From Rittal company, 24.03.05).

Week 05 2005: A Process Audit performed by a large team from Nacam Deutschland and BMW (Germany).


Week 04 2005: A Run & Rate process (quality focused), performed by "KSS" (Key Safety Systems, Italy)

Week 50 2004: Another Process Audit by "Valeo", this time focused on quality.

Week 45 2004: A Process-audit by "Valeo" (Bietigheim, Germany), with a purchasing & logistics focus.
